Camping at the Dayton Rodeo

Camping - Lower Camping Area & Rodeo Park Landus Addition***

Camping available at the bottom of the hill in the lower camping area and in the Dayton Rodeo Park Landus Addition north of the Dayton Rodeo arena. There is not electricity available at all sites, camping is first-come, first-served and there is no reserving of sites.  Must have camping unit or tent in spot - no fencing off areas with rope or tape.


***The Dayton Rodeo Landus Addition was recently acquired by the Dayton Rodeo Celebration Committee and is in early stages of development - there are plans for improvements to make this area better!


Camping Cost in Lower Camping Area: 

$20/night beginning the Wednesday before the Dayton Rodeo (or when plug into electricity, if before Wednesday).


Camping can also be purchased ahead of time, through online ticketing - Click here.  

Print camping receipt/ticket to provide to Celebration Committee for camping fees paid.


General Camping Rules for all camping areas:

  • All campers and visitors MUST follow all rules and local laws
  • Be respectful of camping area used.  If area is extremely large, Dayton Rodeo Celebration Committee reserves the right to charge for additional area or ask to      reduce the area if additional camping is needed.
  • Fire lanes must be kept open at all times - Keep all vehicles off roadway.
  • Fires only in fire rings.
  • Pets must be confined or on a leash.
  • No digging or trenching.
  • Excessive noise will not be permitted.
  • No drainage water or sewage may be disposed on the ground surface - This includes 'gray water'.
  • Clean up camping area before vacating - including manure - if not cleaned up may      lose right to camp the following year.


Please keep personal property secured or protected against theft. The Dayton Rodeo Celebration Committee and all parties associated with the Dayton Rodeo are not responsible for personal property.

Camping - Oak Park

Camping in Oak Park city park (located at top of rodeo arena) is a limited and is first-come, first-served.  There is no reserving of sites.

  

Camping Cost in Oak Park: $20/night.  

  • Currently there will be porta-johns available for restroom use, as there has been vandalism in the restrooms and the restrooms have been closed.  
  • There will be limited shower facilities available for campers staying in Oak Park - details will be available on signage at the showers.
  • Camping permit will be issued and must be visible in camping unit.

Camping - Brushy Creek State Recreation Area

Camping is also available for equestrian and non-equestrian campers at the Brushy Creek State Recreation Area.  Click here for more information.
